General Information
This privacy policy refers to the CountTogether website (counttogether.app). The website serves primarily to provide information about the CountTogether mobile app and does not offer counter functionality itself. Personal data is processed only to a minimal extent. For website usage analysis, we use Google Analytics exclusively after your explicit consent.
2. Data Collection on the Website
Server Log Files
When visiting the website, information is automatically stored in server log files:
- Browser type and browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of server request
- IP address
No merge of this data with other data sources is carried out. The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical provision and security of the website).
3. Local Storage & Cookies
Local Storage
The website uses your browser's local storage to save your consent decision. No technically necessary cookies are set. This access to local storage does not require consent pursuant to § 25(2) TDDDG.
Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
If you consent to the use of Google Analytics, the following cookies are set:
- _ga – Used to distinguish users. Storage duration: up to 2 years.
- _ga_<ID> – Used to store session state. Storage duration: 2 years.
- _gid – Used to distinguish users. Storage duration: 24 hours.
These cookies are only set after you have explicitly consented via the cookie banner. Without your consent, no analytics cookies are set and no data is transmitted to Google.
4. Web Analytics with Google Analytics
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. Usage occurs exclusively after your explicit consent via the cookie banner.
Provider
The contract partner is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. As part of data processing, data may be transferred to Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, as a data recipient. A data processing agreement with Google is in place.
Purpose of Processing
Google Analytics is used to analyze and improve the usage of our website. The resulting statistics enable us to optimize our offering and make it more relevant for you as a user.
Legal Basis
The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG. You may revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by changing your cookie settings via the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer.
Processed Data
Within Google Analytics, the following data is processed:
- IP address (not permanently stored, see below)
- Pages visited and time spent
- Session duration and interactions
- Device type, operating system and browser
- Referring page (referrer)
- Approximate location (based on the IP address, which is not permanently stored)
IP Address Processing
We use Google Analytics 4. IP addresses are not permanently stored. They are processed by Google to derive approximate location data and are not permanently stored thereafter. Processing may take place within the EU/EEA as well as in third countries, in particular the USA. Google Analytics is only loaded after your consent.
Storage Duration
The cookies set by Google Analytics have a maximum storage duration of 2 years. The collected usage data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Data that has reached its retention period is automatically deleted once a month.
Objection and Revocation
You can revoke your consent at any time by clicking on "Cookie Settings" in the website footer and declining analytics cookies. Previously set cookies will be deleted. Alternatively, you can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings. You can also prevent data collection by Google Analytics by downloading and installing the browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Data Transfer to Third Countries
When using Google Analytics, data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which has been recognized by the European Commission as a basis for an adequate level of data protection. 5. Public Counter Pages & Counter Data
Public counter pages, invitation pages and other interactive features are also served on the same domain (Portal). These pages do not use Google Analytics and do not set any analytics cookies. Public counter pages only display data explicitly shared by the counter owner (counter name, current value, chart and heatmap). Your Rights
You have the right at any time to:
- receive information about your stored personal data free of charge
- have incorrect data corrected
- have your data deleted
- request restriction of data processing
